Frequently asked questions
What people ask us most, in short.
What is La Ponina?
A site of questions about what will happen in Cuba, in Miami and around the world. On each ponina you say YES or NO, see what people think and talk it over in its chat.
Is it free?
Yes. Creating your account and calling it with points is free. You get 1,000 points when you sign up and a weekly bonus of 200 every week.
What are the points?
They are what you put on the poninas. Call it right and you win more points. Points are not money: they never turn into money and they never expire.
How do I get more points?
1,000 when you sign up (2,000 if you join with a creator's or a media partner's code), a weekly bonus of 200 every week, 1,000 when a friend you invited puts in for the first time, and the ones you win when you call it right.
Who am I up against?
You compete against other poninos and against La Ponina's system. You don't know who is who. Points never turn into money.
What is a ponina?
A question about something that will happen, with its closing time. Some are YES or NO and others have several options. Each one has its chat and you can share it on WhatsApp.
What does the percent mean?
It is how much has been put on each side. It is not an official probability: it is what people think. It moves as people put in, until the ponina closes.
Who decides the result?
La Ponina confirms each result. When a ponina closes it moves to «Confirmando»: nothing more goes in, we review what happened and anyone with an account can send proof with «Mandar prueba». Each ponina's rules are on its page.
What if the event is canceled?
The ponina is voided and everything you put in comes back in full.
What are Polymarket and Kalshi?
They are prediction sites in the United States. On La Ponina you see some of their questions with their live numbers, next to what La Ponina says.
What is «Pon con Polymarket» or «Pon con Kalshi»?
It is the button to give your call on one of those questions: you say YES or NO with your free points. Your points are not spent: they weigh in La Ponina's percent and stay with you. You can change your call while the question is open.
What is a peña?
Your group inside La Ponina: family, friends or work. You build it, send the link on WhatsApp and everyone calls it free. The peña has its own ranking and every Monday the peña's Champion comes out.
What are the Campaigns?
Photo campaigns for Cuban causes. Backing one is free: one tap, one backing per person, and your name counts.
Can I suggest a question?
Yes. With your account you can create your own ponina with free points and share it with your people.
